Dr. Mary holds a PhD degree in Urban Studies and Planning. She is a professional with over 20 years of history in the Real Estate sector. She is skilled in Urban Planning and Management, Land Use Planning, Housing development, Coaching and Research. She is also a certified Professional Mediator. She is a registered member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya.
She has been a lecturer at Kenyatta University, School of Engineering and Architecture, for about 5 years.
Dr Mary is the current Head of the Construction and Real Estate Management Department at Kenyatta University. She believes that best practice in the provision of services is putting clients or customers at the centre of all mapping and decisions – valuing them and working in consultation with stakeholders who would have input in improving service provision. She understands best practice to ultimately mean looking and striving to achieve relatively high standards in all areas of work while staying within effective working frameworks.
